“Love season” is over and we are on to March Madness season and St. Patrick’s Day, but that does not mean we can no longer embrace our inner romantic. You know what? Who needs to embrace their inner romantic in order to dine at a beautiful Italian restaurant? Not us! Hungry? Craving delicious pasta? We got you covered. Head on over to Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort.
When you open the doors, you are greeted by gorgeous brick and tile work as well as an exquisite wall filled with wine. Talk about setting the scene. Suddenly you are whisked away from a turn of a century seaside resort into a gorgeous Italian restaurant. Don’t worry – you will be perfectly at home in shorts, but make sure they have some give and go, because you will be eating – a lot!
Everything that the restaurant makes is handmade. From the pizza and pasta to the mozzarella balls and Sunday gravy. The food is absolutely delectable – trust us. There is nothing better than homemade and what makes the experience even more enjoyable is the kitchen is open for you to see everything that the chefs are preparing. We got a kick out of watching the pizza come in and out of the Italian oven as well as watch a bowl of mozzarella be formed into balls. For us, we started our meal with delicious cheesy, garlic pull-apart bread. Our next course we enjoyed cavatelli with huge (no, gigantic) meatballs and scallops with ravioli. All three dishes were nothing short of fresh and amazing. We ended the meal with a gooey chocolate torte and could not have been more pleased. We highly suggest you delve into the meal with an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Trust us – you will not be disappointed. Mangia!
