If quarantine has taught us anything, it is that we workout to eat or do we eat to work out? Regardless, we have been getting some of our best runs in as well as some amazing treats to spoil ourselves with and it is safe to say that 99% of the treats are Disney inspired. Disney Destinations are known for their treats. From being mickey shaped or flavorful to unique twists on the palette, they are one-of-a-kind.
Each Disney Destination has their fair share of treats that they are known for and at Disneyland, the churro is one of their most popular snacks. Do not get us wrong, we enjoy churros and we certainly enjoyed a good old-fashioned Disneyland churro, however there are quite a few hidden snacks at Disneyland that you will not want to pass by.
Mickey Mouse Peanut Butter Sandwich: Graham cracker? Check. Peanut butter? Check. Chocolate? Check. This “sandwich” so to say is the perfect combination of sweet and salty with the right blend of crunch and gooeyness. Peanut butter cup lovers, this treat is calling your name. Can you hear it? Better eat it quickly on a hot day, or you are going to be wearing your sandwich rather than eating the sandwich.

Churro Toffee: Okay, we will admit it, toffee is not our “thing”, however mix it with a little Disney magic and we are down for trying anything. Yes, we just said “down with”. Imagine snacking on a giant sugary sweet think piece of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and there you have churro toffee. Now, for those of you like us, not exactly fans of white chocolate, rest assured the mixture matches perfectly with this super sweet treat. If you are like one of us, then you will need to eat something savory before indulging in this extra, extra sweet treat.
Sweet & Savory Twists: Imagine thick, soft, warm bagel-esque treats with the option of savory dipping sauces. Now think of warm, buttery, and flakey pastry filled twists that essential melt in your mouth. Both treats and twists can be found at Maurice’s Treats. There is something for those who like savory and those who like sweet, and if you are like us – you will get both!
Hand-Dipped Ice Cream Bars: Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream is the only location at Disneyland Resort where you can fully customize your own hand-dipped ice cream bars. I mean come on! Choose your flavor of ice cream to get coated in chocolate and then top it with your choice of toppings. You can even choose to get The Whole Herd (translation: ALL of the toppings).

Flavored Popcorn: We firmly stand with the idea that popcorn is one of the best snacks at Disney Destination. If you are borderline hangry – popcorn hits the spot. If you want something a little salty, but do not feel like being weighed down by a Mickey pretzel, popcorn it is. If you need something to tie you over to your buffet later – yep, popcorn is key. Cozy Cone Motel makes some amazing popcorn and yep, flavored popcorn as well. Feeling up to trying something new? How does pizza or dill pickle flavored popcorn sound? Prefer not to go too crazy? Garlic parmesan, buffalo ranch or maybe even white cheddar is more your speed. Whatever it is. TRY IT!
Sour Dough Bread Bowl: We are those people that struggle turning down bread – no matter the diet. At the Pacific Wharf Café, you can find anything (and essentially everything) in a bread bowl from soups and salads to even breakfast. There is nothing better than soup in a bread bowl, however if you are like one of the two of us who thinks soup is better fitting for cold days than grab yourself one of their delicious salads which of course comes in that perfect bread bowl.
So, if you are ever in the mood for some “different” snacks that do not necessarily get as much attention, here are our favorites. Do not forget a napkin and to share. Remember the more you share, the more you can try! Enjoy!
