Fun Runs. Yes… running can be fun! Did you know that the Walt Disney World Resort hosts weekly Fun Runs? Well, you know now! We know, when you are on vacation and indulging in practically everything – running (and for fun) just does not seem, well fun right? Wrong! If anything, the runs are fun because you get some fun swag, can post some awesome Instagram worthy photos and well, it makes eating that Mickey pretzel taste SO much better!
The Walt Disney World Resort Fun Runs has started to make a name for themselves. These brief runs range anywhere from a mile and a half to two miles, which are perfect for beginning runners, families wanting to get out there together, walkers or runners at any level. The runs are full of Disney fun and enthusiasm but casual enough that the most novice among us can run or walk to the finish and get some awesome goodies and snacks! And side note – you don’t have to stay at the particular resort to participate!
The resort fun runs are $15 per person and free for children under 3. Registration can often be done beforehand at the resort’s respective community hall but can easily done the morning of the race. If you are going to register before the race, make sure to be there at least a half hour prior to the start. At the finish of the race, each resort provides cold water, fruit, wet towel and an assortment of granola bars or other snacks to recharge. The cold towels were amazing as was the water, we took our race snacks with us to enjoy once we were ready to nosh.
All-Stars & Icons Fun Run – All-Stars Resorts
