Back by popular demand… we’re here! Nah, just kidding Disney California Adventure Park is hosting Disney Festival of the Holidays from November 8th to January 6th, 2020. Inspired by cultural traditions from around the world, Festival of Holidays celebrates global holidays through food, music, dance, and crafts. So grab your tasting passport, food map, times guide and have an empty stomach for your journey around the world tasting and experiencing celebrations around the world.
This year, 12 Marketplace Booths will be setup for your delicious enjoyment and we are not sure what is cooler – their names or their offerings. From a Hot Coco Marshmallow Macaroon to Beef Pot Roast on a Potato Roll – the holiday food offerings sound both savory and sweet. Now, check out the Marketplace Booth Names: Merry Mashups, Brews & Bites, Favorite Things, Grandma’s Recipes, Treats for Santa, Winter Wonders, Holiday Duets, A Twist on Tradition, Visions of Sugarplums, Making Spirits Bright, Blissfully Braised, Spicy Celebrations and Winter Sliderland. Cute right?
Food is not the only highlight of the festival; the special entertainment is equally as remarkable! Disney Viva Navidad will return to Paradise Garden and will be hosted by THE Three Caballeros themselves! In addition to Viva Navidad, performances featuring global holiday music and dance will include: The Sound (Kwanzaa and Christmas songs a capella), Mariachi Divas, Mostly Kosher (Hanukkah music), BLUE 13 Dance Company (Bollywood and Folk dance celebrating Diwali), Phat Cat Swinger (brass twists on holiday music) and Holiday Toy Drummers. Princess Elena of Avalor will share songs and stories of her native land. World of Color will feature Season of Color! The special entertainment sounds absolutely magical, but no Holiday celebration is complete until you get to meet the big man himself, Santa Clause! Sorry Mickey (this time it is not you). If you happen to visit closer to Christmas, Santa Clause will leave on Christmas Eve to start his journey around the world and be replaced on December 25th with Santa Goofy.
