Dining is a HUGE part of a vacation, let alone a Disney Destination vacation and for this we say… adios to diets. Okay, okay – you can still remain on your “diet” and eat healthier options, but we will discuss this at a later date. For now, let’s chat about Disney’s Quick Service Dining Plan!

What is quick service dining you ask? Well, quick service dining is essentially counter service where you order your food and carry it to your table. Don’t be fooled there are a few dining establishments where the directions we gave are slightly different such as breakfast and lunch at Be Our Guest (best use of quick service credits). Whatever you do, it is NOT CALLED FAST FOOD! No but seriously, quick service dining at the Disney Parks is delicious! We LOVE all of the plant-based food options available and their chicken nuggets are the best we have ever had. Okay, enough about how much we love the food at any Disney Destination, let’s talk about the details of the Quick Service Dining Plan for 2020!

How It Works: Each resort guest (ages 3 and up) will receive the following when booking a resort stay package with the quick service dining plan.

  • Two Quick Service meals (entrée or combo meal at lunch and dinner and a beverage)
  • Guests under 21 years of age can choose one non-alcoholic beverage (including specialty beverages where offered).
  • Guests 21 and older can choose either one non-alcoholic beverage (including specialty beverages where offered) or one single serving mixed cocktail, beer, or wine (where offered) within their meal entitlement.
  • Two snacks
  • One Resort refillable mug per person, per package

2019 Cost:
$52.49 per night ages 10 and up
$23.78 per night age 3 to 9
This cost is added to the regular cost of a Magic Your Way Vacation Package.

2020 Cost:
$55 per night ages 10 and up
$26 per night age 3 to 9
This cost is added to the regular cost of a Magic Your Way Vacation Package.

Credits: You are certainly welcome to use the meals and snacks in any order at any time during your stay. For example, if you book a 7 day 6 night package with the quick service dining plan, each guest will receive 12 quick service dining credits and 24 snack credits. You can use all of your meal credits however you would like to!

Extra! Extra! It is super important to note that, everyone staying in your hotel room must be booked on the same package. Kids under the age of 3 are free as they may share a meal with an adult. If child age 3 or under would like their own meal, one must be purchased separately. Some quick service locations might have an adult menu, however kids ages 3-9 must order from a children’s menu where available.

So that’s the “skinny” on the quick service dining plan. Often people ask us, “are the dining plans ‘worth’ it”? If you use them, yes! If you don’t use them, no. It’s that simple to decide. Plus, it is so nice to pay upfront and then only pay out of pocket for additional items. I know for us, it feels like we truly are “saving” when it is already paid for. Let’s not forget to mention that the dining plans really do save money (again – if you use them).

Example:

Lunch at Be Our Guest – Croque Monsieur & Fountain Drink – $15.99 + $3.99 (included)

Dinner at Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe – 1/3 lb. Angus Bacon Cheeseburger Fries & Fountain Drink – $13.29 + $3.99 (included)

Snack at Gaston’s Tavern – Cinnamon Roll – $5.99

Snack at Lunching Pad – Mickey Pretzel & Cheese – $6.79

Specialty Drink at Columbia Harbour House – Lemonade Slushy – $5.99

That’s already a savings of over $3 for the 2019 prices and that is BEFORE the tax is included. Guys and Gals, $3 (and more) adds up over a vacation! So, yes we 100% feel the Quick Service Dining Plan is “worth” it! Don’t forget to use your credits wisely (cups of water are free) and eat your way through your next Walt Disney World vacation.

And – DON’T FORGET! We are here to serve YOU and all at no extra cost! We cannot wait to start planning real soon!

Your referrals are our most MAGICAL compliments!
