Walt Disney World® in the fall is just pure magic. With the changing of the season brings better weather, festivals, parties, treats and gorgeous decor. Let’s face it, the summer can get away from us with the things that we want to do. Sue we have all this time, but let’s be honest, it’s never enough time to get to all of the places you have been looking forward to visiting. If you can do it, visit Walt Disney World® during the fall season! And… here’s why!
Promotions: Promotions generally pop up when they pop up. Now, the best part about booking through us (Bryan and Tammi with Ears of Experience, LLC) is that we can apply the promotion to your personal package as long as it fits! The last few years, in addition to the typical, but super helpful percentages off a LARGE fall promotion happened to include the words “dining” and “free”. While there is no guarantee what promotions will drop and when – you better believe the fall promotions always have a little extra magic to them.
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: The title should be enough to get you into the park! We absolutely LOVE and we mean LOVE Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. From the special events and food booths, to the corks and souvenirs we could spend every day in Epcot if we could. Imagine meeting world renowned chefs, singing at the Eat to the Beat concert series and trying food and drinks you might have never known even existed. And trust us – you’re going to try things you never thought you even wanted to try (don’t forget to snap a photo).
Weather: From hot and steam days to cool nights. The weather in Florida during the autumn season is near perfection. It’s warm, sunny and low humidity, we certainly call that a gorgeous day! While you should expect rain often in Florida, don’t expect the rain to ruin your day completely and you certainly won’t see those crazy daily Florida thunderstorms.

Busy? Not a Chance: The crowds are by far lighter in the fall. While there really isn’t an “off season” at Walt Disney World, when kids go back to school, naturally the weekday crowds are lower. Don’t expect to walk right on Frozen Ever After without any wait, but you won’t spend your day wishing you had more FastPass+ options. Oh – and walk up dining reservations, but you never thought about those! Plenty and we truly mean plenty of table service restaurants will have openings.
Magic Kingdom: If there is one thing you should plan to purchase special event tickets for, it’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! It is an amazing event for ALL ages. We’re talking probably the best parade the park has ever produced and the fact that adults and children can trick or treat throughout the park.

Decorations, Themes and Treats: If you think Disney goes above and beyond for their “normal” decor, then you will be absolutely shocked to see the fall (and Christmas) decorations throughout the parks and resorts. They are ridiculously detailed and themed to the area you are in. Staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort? The fall decor there will be themed to the turn-of-the-century, which is fabulous. Animal Kingdom? You got it, inspired fall decorations from Asia and Africa. And the treats, oh the treats – pumpkin spice heaven! From cupcakes to cookies, to coffee and drinks, the Walt Disney World® Resort takes their themes to heart. Even the candy apples wear their Halloween best attire! And let’s not forget about the shows, even some of the side shows get an “autumn” makeover. We love the Trolley show on Main Street USA, it’s one of our favorite ways to be welcomed into the Magic Kingdom, and guess what, it gets freshened up for the fall!

So, between the festivals, parties, treats, weather, crowds and the magic, we hope you see why we absolutely love Walt Disney World® in the fall. We cannot wait to help plan your magic this autumn at the Walt Disney World Resort®, Disney Cruise Line® or Disneyland® Resort!
Happy Pumpkin Spicing!
