Great food, great drinks (plenty of Bier!), traditional music will draw you into to Germany Pavilion at Epcot. Bavarian style buildings, a replica medieval castle, and the large clock tower set the scene for this fun and culture filled plaza. Be sure to check out the miniature village complete with operational mini trains. You also can’t miss the statue of St. George slaying a dragon at the fountain smack dab in the center of the pavilion.
Entertainment
The Margret Almer & The Bavarian Band play 5 days a week with traditional music and yodeling. So grab a bier and enjoy the show!
Food
Biergarten – is a Oktoberfest style dining hall that offer a multitude of German dishes for an outstanding lunch or dinner buffet. Be prepared to share tables with other guests as the restaurant is lined with long communal dining tables. The entertainment is first rate and you will absolutely love this amazing dining experience!
Sommerfest – is a counter service restaurant offering all of the traditional German Favorites
Bier Kiosk – great selection of German beir including Schofferhofer Grapefruit Bier which has become Tammi’s favorite as you can see in the picture below!
Luckily we have found this beer closer to home, but Tammi still says “It tastes better in Disney World”
Shopping
Der Teddybar – toy shop of various assortment, and yes you guessed it teddy bears
Volkskunst – bier steins, hats, books, and our favorite Black Forest Cuckoo Clocks
Das Kaufhaus – a soccer lover’s delight with jerseys, soccer balls, and accessories
Stein Haus – yes more Bier steins
Karamelle-Kuche – all things caramel including fresh made caramel corn that is to die for!
Weinkeller – wine and spirits, including wine tasting for purchase. This store also has one of our favorite snacks, alcohol filled candy. We love getting these and enjoying during the concert series Epcot has during the Flower and Garden Festival or during the International Food and Wine Festival.
Die Weihnachts Ecke – a German Christmas wonderland with some of the most expensive designer Christmas decorations you may ever see. We highly recommended going in here either before or well after you have enjoyed your Bier or wine. Definitely not a place you would want to knock anything over in!
Glaskunst – outdoor glassware shop that features personalized engraving
We love Germany pavilion and who wouldn’t when there is so much to see and do! Be sure to plan to spend a good amount of time checking it all out!
